My Mum started her Nurse Training in 1948,in the newly formed NHS , at St Mary’s Paddington , retiring in 1990 , she didn’t work all that time for the NHS as in those days you left to have your children , but she studied more and became a Health visitor for 20 years. I followed suit and made my career as a Nurse for 42 years , 34 of those at the City Hospital, retiring this May . Happy Birthday 75th Birthday NHS
